Kawaii Review: Haenuli's Planetary Dreamer Series [02-04-15]

Hiyo, Bunnies!

Before the end of 2014, I pre-ordered a very beautiful dress designed by the very talented ♥ Haenuli ♥. If you're not familiar with their work, they are a Korean Lolita brand that makes fantasy-style dresses and skirts. They also make matching accessories like bonnets, jewelry and organza skirts. Maybe you've seen one of their original prints ♥ Dreaming Cinderella ♥? I own this beautiful piece too! And with the very right amount of petticoat, it flares out wonderfully and the drape effect lays very nice.

This new piece that I purchased from Haenuli is called ♥ Planetary Dreamer ♥ features a Unicorn!

Do you remember how the unicorn looked in Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn? This is what the print reminds me of.

Three delicate and precious panels of the unicorn as she walks, poses and rearing. All of this while surrounded with stars and galaxies. She even has hearts on her rear!

As soon as their Facebook page posted that this was going to be their newest print, I knew I had to somehow get it. Luckily, they do have payment plans. After a couple of payments, it was soon shipped out!

The print is available as an OP, JSK and a skirt in black, blue and purple. There were even accessories like two kinds of star clips, rings, necklace, tights, headdress and hairbows. I ordered the OP with the chiffon sleeves in navy blue.

I was sent an email notification when it was shipped with a tracking number. It didn't even take a week for my order to arrive from Korea to NY! It arrived in a neat little box with Haenuli's name printed on it with just a tiny mark on one of the corners from shipment. Very rare to get a near perfect box in the mail!

Here is a photo of the box my dress arrived safely in!

Inside the box as I first opened it.

And here are the contents: an informational sheet, postcard photos, a star hairclip and my dress in a protective bag!

My dress neatly packed, the star hairclip and postcards.

And finally - my dress all laid out!

The OP features chiffon sleeves, lace trim around the neckline and bottom, three star buttons as decorations with a satin ribbon above the waist to tie it all in one beautiful package. And if you're like me and not super thin, there is shirring in the back with ribbon tie corset.

The print is very vivid and crisp. Haenuli also did a very good job with lining up the fabric where the panels meet. And I just love the idea of the unicorn playing in the cosmos!

Sadly, I have yet to wear this dress so here are some shots of the model in it!

I hope you enjoyed my review! I will have another one for your soon!

See you soon!

  1. Oh wow this dress is absolutely gorgeous! I've heard good things about Haenuli, but they're a bit too pricey for me to buy. The print is beautiful though <3
